The Housing situation in Haiti is dire especially in the rural communities that we support. There is no running water or electricity for most. The homes are tent like structures or one room cinder block structures where entire families reside. The Renand Foundation has built many homes through the years in the community to help provide more shelter, but many more are needed. Additionally, many of the existing homes need repair. As inclement weather including earthquakes and torrential rains are commonplace, it is important to have a system in place to address these needs.
